Consonus to Speak on Data Center Infrastructure Management at Data Center World

Session Will Address What Data Center Managers Should Look for in a DCIM Solution

CARY, NORTH CAROLINA 8 September 2011 — Consonus will be a featured presenter at Data Center World, September 11-14, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. Director of the Consonus Project Management Office Bruce Cardos will conduct an informative session entitled, “How DCIM Helps You Sleep Better at Night,” which focuses on addressing the major concerns of data center managers through data center infrastructure management solutions.

“I am looking forward to Data Center World next week and presenting the information on DCIM,” said Cardos. “I use DCIM to help plan and execute data center relocations. However, for ongoing management of a data center’s infrastructure, a solid data center infrastructure management tool is critical. Power, space and cooling are the big costs in a data center and DCIM tools help manage those variables.”

A featured presentation as a part of the Data Center Management Track, the session will examine the benefits of a DCIM solution and how it can address skyrocketing energy costs, inefficiencies in infrastructure management, and the effects of government regulation. In addition, the presentation will provide data center managers with criteria for determining an appropriate DCIM solution to meet business requirements.

“Data Center World is a great place to learn what your peers in the industry are doing to solve their data center problems and hear world class speakers bring their perspectives and experiences to the attendees,” said Cardos. “When it comes to the data center, there are many challenges to address and options to consider. Conferences like this provide decision makers with the information they need to help alleviate some of the pains associated with data center operations.”

Data Center World is the largest global event of its kind and has been named one of the 50 fastest growing tradeshows in the United States. It is considered the leading educational conference for data center professionals with hundreds of presentations on topics ranging from cloud computing and data center management to end user case studies and data center protection.
