How long will backups take?

The duration of your backups is dependent on your internet connection, type and volume of files, and the amount of other traffic and system processes that are active in your environment. If you are unsure of the amount of data you need to back up, please check out our Guide to Estimating Your Backup Needs.

What if I want to back up more than 500GB?

StraTech provides a full suite of backup and recovery services.  If StraTech RBSXpress does not meet your specific needs, please contact us for information about StraTech remote backup services for more sophisticated solution requirements.

How do I get support?

All StraTech RBSXpress support is available via email at support@stratech.com.

Can you bill me?

StraTech RBSXpress can only be ordered online via credit card at this time.  If your business requires direct billing, please consider our other StraTech remote backup solutions and contact us. We do offer discounts for annual service prepayment via the online order page.

Will I be notified when I reach my maximum backup storage limit?

Yes, StraTech RBSXpress will notify you when you reach each of 75%, 85%, and 95% of your capacity.  At 100% of your purchased capacity you will get another notification and backups will cease until you purchase the next level of StraTech RBSXpress backup capacity or eliminate previous backup sets to free up space. 

Does StraTech RBSXpress de-duplicate?

Yes.  All backup sets will be available for restoration, but you only pay for one copy of any given file that was unchanged between backup sets.

Is my data safe from hackers?

StraTech RBSXpress employs state-of-the art AES256 encryption when storing your data on any of our systems.  Additionally, data is sent over an encrypted link to our SAS70 Type II audited facility for safekeeping.  For details on the data center, please see South Data Center facility specifications

Are there online installation instructions?

You will be able to download installation instructions once you purchase StraTech RBSXpress.
