The mission of StraTech IT Consulting is to provide our customers with world-class Information Technology and Disaster Recovery strategic planning and delivery services. Our IT Consulting practice takes a holistic approach to assessing datacenter assets and processes in the context of business requirements and provides organizations with actionable analyses and advice rooted in the goals, objectives, and mission of the client organization.
StraTech is seeking a candidate who possesses deep consultative experience and a strong track record in developing assessments for clients in the area of Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity as well a general IT Strategy.
The ideal candidate will be possess and demonstrate the attitude and aptitude as a IT thought leader in the areas of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity as well as general strengths in IT Strategy development for data center operations. StraTech seeks an individual with strong customer-facing skills both in a pre-sales and consulting delivery role with the ability to sell him/herself through strong communication of technical and analytical credibility.
There is the potential for this position to assume/advance to the role of practice manager for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity consulting for StraTech.
Essential Functions
- Deliver analytical IT assessment services to a variety of customers working with project management and teams of technical subject matter experts.
- Provide though leadership to customers in pre-sales engagements with regional sales team.
- Deliver compelling IT thought leadership presentation and IT trade and industry functions as presentor and/or panelist
- Focus area is Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity including Business Impact Analyses, IT Risk Assessment and Gap Analyses, DR Plan Development, DR Testing and IT Strategy for Data Center Optimization
- Possess strong analytical skills - seek and assemble fragments of information, extrapolate, build and apply conceptual models, recognize patterns and draw conclusions from partial data.
- Develop qualitative and quantitative requirements and data for each assessment. Assemble, prioritize and reconcile customer requirements, and relate both qualitative and quantitative analyses into actionable recommendations
- Demonstrate significant applicable experience to be accepted by clients as an expert. This entails a deep understanding of industry trends, vendors, products, user strategies and impact of adjacent disciplines.
- Able to develop and present defensible ROI/TCO models
- Able to explain concepts concisely through discussion, presentation and written research
- Use each engagement to improve and refine CTI's standing methodologies or as a basis for establishing new methodologies or assessment principles.
- Candidates aspiring to the role of practice manager must have demonstrable experience in developing and delivering a consistent consulting practice with proven utilization, GM and EBITDA results
Work Environment
Office facilities will be provided at one of CTI's locations, ideally Cary, NC. The IT Consulting team is highly virtual and good collaborative skills and ability to travel 20-50% of the time are required. Part-time home office use is supported. This position initially requires a significant billable utilization component of 50-60% with remainder of the effort focusing on pre-sales opportunities and personal and group research and development.
